The Color Grading panel can appear confusing at first, largely because a lot of the controls are replicated. Instead of “Split Toning,” the panel in the Develop module is now called Color Grading and includes a lot more control and functionality. In 2020, Lightroom transformed how it edits split tones, changing the panel completely. Split toning in Lightroom now falls under the Color Grading panel. In the latest version of Lightroom, you can now also bring color into the midtones, as well as the image as a whole.Ĭolor grading is similar to changing the white balance of a photo, but you have much greater control and the results can be far more subtle and stylized.
